KEEP© training standards

A discussion recently, on a group I belong to, has brought to the fore something that I hold very dear to my heart - that of first class, professional quality training.  And to qualify what that means I have coined a phrase, which is 'KEEP© training'  standards.  KEEP© training stands for Knowledge, Experience, Ethical, Professional trainings.

Through my many years in the training environment I have begun to realise that many many trainers nowadays are only in 'this training lark' for the money and do not offer trainings that come from a basis built on the solid foundations of accumulated knowledge and time-spent experience, offering a professional level of competence in an ethical way which supports the whole learning experience.  In short - very good, quality, professional training.

So unfortunately KEEP© training is in very short supply as there aren't many experienced, knowledgable, ethical trainers offering training in a professional manner.  It's all too easy to pay your money, spend the day listening to someone gibber on, then grab your manual and cd, take your certificate and call yourself a 'trainer' nowadays.  No underpinning explanations of learning styles or how to communicate effectively with your audience or even how to present properly anymore - for THAT aspect of the training is "left up to the individual to deal with themselves" - and just how many individuals do deal with that aspect of it.  Very few in my experience - which is truly unfortunate for those who attend those particular trainers' trainings.

Am I in control? Or am I being re-directed?

I wonder if this has happened to you ...

You're wanting to do something and think you haven't enough time to do it, and it's really really important, and you may even say - in your mind "Oh I wish I didn't have to do xyz THEN I'd be able to do abc".  This is the situation where 'xyz' is something you are committed to doing, a client appointment or a meeting you had agreed to attend many moons ago or give a training or workshop or freebie talk. However it's something that you committed to doing BEFORE 'abc' came into existence.

And then, out of the blue, THAT client's appointment or the training or workshop or talk organiser contacts you and postpones because of 'mnop' happening - and what do you know?  Your time is free'd up and so you CAN now do 'abc' after all!

I know it's now called 'Cosmic Ordering' where we voice or simply just think 'aloud' "if only ... I want ... I would like ..." - and it happens.  Well it seems to be happening more and more recently - certainly to me - so someone somewhere IS listening. 

Have you noticed this phenomenom aswell?  Or perhaps you simply haven't registered it consciously yet! 

Well, here's a little thing you can do to help you RECOGNISE if it IS happening to you: 

1. Look back over your last month's appointments or whatever;
2. Write them down in black ink/pen if you haven't already got them listed in a diary / time manager / appointment book; alternatively
3. Put them on a table on your computer;
4. Now cross through the ones (a simple X will do OR shadow in the cell if on the computer) that actually did take place using a red fibre pen / crayon; and
5. Now cross through the ones that were postponed or cancelled using a green fibre pen /crayon; and finally
6. Look at the number of green crosses related to the number of red crosses.

YES, SO WHAT? 

Well, my theory is that if you have 20% (1green:5red) or more green crosses,then THAT is higher than the acknowledged 5-10% (1green:20 or 10 red) changes that many therapists or coaches accept as 'normal' for their particular business. 

And THAT to me means one of two things, either

(1) the universe is actually TELLING you that THIS work is not for you so you need to be aware of this fact, or

(2) you subconsciously WANT to be doing something different and the universe is listening.

So what has been happening for you? 

Have you noticed these changes (marked in green) - that is are you aware intuitively that the universe wants you to change direction?  Or are you asking for it's help?  Either way - a change is indicated!  So decide NOW, are you in control or are you being directed?

When the universe shows you once, then twice - you don't wait for a third time - you ACT

Ok ok - so you open up a diary - one in which you have religiously kept up-to-date daily apppointments and information for the last 7 years, and the last entry was dated 6 months prior.  No problems - you don't think anything of it.

Then only 3 days later you are looking at an event, via the internet, that is being promoted from last month (September) until 6 months hence - and you think, "What!  I have to wait until September this year before I can get any tickets!"  And today is actually October 5th - you were immediately transported back in time to 6 months ago, when September WOULD have been "later this year".  You think hold on a minute ...  is the universe trying to tell me something here?

Well, 6 months ago - almost to the day, my life was put on hold - so to speak.  Dad was in hospital undergoing cancer surgery, and since then me and my younger sister have literally put everything on hold to get him through this, and he has come through this - he's almost 95% back to normal.  However what a strain it has been certainly for me - on my business, my family life, my social life and also my emotional, psychological and physical health - and because I was so busily involved caring - I didn't notice these last 3 areas.  Until that is - this week. 

The universe showed me TWICE through my empty diary and also my internal diary that I was still locked into 6months ago - the stress of THEN has kept part of me back then.  I did not need showing a third time for I have come to respect the universe's messages. 

So I decided - with back up support from my therapist and my younger sister - that I needed to take time out to recoup my own health, family, business and social life.  So I have decided to take this next few weeks out - to keep away physically from dad because the 'contact' was sooo draining - even though I believed I was using all of my trainings and techniques to keep me 'from going under' - and they were working however I didn't look at my 'Parts' that were locked in time to 6months ago - locked in time due to the stresses that arose from that time onwards.  In fact I was pinching from Peter to pay Paul (to quote an old saying) - and the energy barrel was almost depleted.

Business is picking up - and I am not going to go like a bull at a gate at it, I am going to allow the busienss to come to me - and it will.  I am going to work deliberatly solidly on releasing the 'locked in parts' over this next week, using TAT and ET  - for those are the techniques I know are needed for ME at THIS TIME.  Aswell as sleep and relaxation of course and a very supportive hubby.

And what about my sister - well we're different thank goodness.  I'm the touchy-feely one (in touch with energies) and am somewhat right-brained and she is very logical and down-to-earth and left-brained.  And she deals with dad differently.

So if you notice any 'messages from the universe' please listen to them - don't let yourself be shown or told a 3rd time ....

“What are YOU doing for YOUR SELF outside of work?”

So how have things been with you this last month?  

I hope that you’re all ready for the Autumn – having hopefully discovered  which of the S.A.D. remedies from Hi-EFT in April this year are for you.  Personally I like using the colour ORANGE in earrings, scarves, brooches for me, hi-light pens, paper, ties and cuff-links for men.

In November I’m in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England for a week as it’s the Soroptimist International Federation Conference.  And I really look forward to events such as this – it’s a wonderful opportunity where hundreds and thousands of women get together from all around the world.   The reason I’m mentioning this is that ALL of us need some interest outside of work – to balance our lives.  Else Jill/Jack can be a dull gal/boy.

So just what’s your outside of work interest?

Evening classes have started at lots of local colleges, New Year is looming up in a couple of months: both ideal opportunities for YOU to re-assess your outside interests.
